DanDan Marois - Poland Spring - Chief Entertainment Officer for Mystery for Hire, Mainely Improv and other entertainment ventures.  As a writer, producer and actor, Dan has been involved in every aspect of the business since 1995.  (Take a look at this piece from Lewiston-Auburn Magazine.  It gives a behind the scenes look at how a kid from northern New Hampshire became a murder mystery mogul.)
   Dan is a freelance writer and communication specialist in his company, Mainely Communications.  He owes his success to his wife of 35 years, Denise Marois.  He's also a very proud father of daughter, Katie.

DeniseDenise Marois - Poland Spring - Has performed on stage for the past 20 years in regional and professional theater.  She has appeared in at least 200 mystery shows and regularly performs with her husband, Dan, in many venues.  She is Co-Owner and Producer of Main Street Entertainment and Mystery for Hire.  Denise is a Customer Service Rep for L.L.Bean.

KatieKatie Nadeau - Massachusetts - Kate grew up in Mystery For Hire. She has been involved with the troupe since the tender age of 8.  She graduated in May 2006 from Mount Allison University in New Brunswick, Canada with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She's currently a social worker in Boston and living in Waltham, Mass. with husband, Will. 

DanBob LeBlancMassachusetts - Another Mystery for Hire veteran, Bob is known for his zany characters, quick thinking ad libs, and extraordinary humor. Bob is a writer, performer, stand-up comedian and improv comedy expert. His plays have been performed across the country, including a 3 month run off-Broadway. He is a graphic designer in his day job. Originally from Standish, Maine, he now lives in Newburyport, Mass. with wife, Jessica, daughter, Eve, and son, Michael. BobBob Hazelton - North Yarmouth - Appeared in the movie The Man Without Face starring Mel Gibson. He's Mystery for Hire's only Harley riding actor! He also has extensive screen time in Shadow Glories.

HarolsHarold WitheePortland - Cast member emeritus - Appeared in the Academy Award Nominated Motion Picture In the Bedroom with Sissy Spacek and in the HBO film production of Empire Falls. Performs in various theatre groups in Maine and the Boston area. The Portland Phoenix named Harold one of the top100 notable people in Portland!

JulieJulie Poulin - Monmouth - Julie is a veteran of mystery theater and performs in more shows with us than any other actor! She performs in Lights! Camera! Murder!, Murder Most Medieval, Marriage Can Be A Mystery, Politics Can Be Murder, and various other roles.  Julie is known as a quick study in Mystery for Hire like the time she was going to stage manage and then filled in as an actor on the spot! In her day job, she runs Central Maine Power, sort of.

DanKathleen Nation - Monmouth- Kathleen has done lots of stage, film, and commercial work in Maine and other parts of the country. She's appeared in Politics Can Be Murder, Marriage Can Be a Mystery, Murder Most Medieval, and many more.

DanBrian Files - Gardiner - Brian has been with the company for many years now. He often plays the wild and crazy roles of the nerds, prima donnas, and multiple personality cases.  Audience members will remember Brian as Bud Wiser in Lights! Camera! Murder! and the dashing Captain Will Handsome in Who Killed Jolly Roger?. He's performed with numerous theatre troupes throughout Maine and in areas around the country where his military career brought him. He lives in Gardiner with his High school sweetheart and their two children. Brian launched his first Mystery for Hire script in 2013 with a spoof on 1950's radio.

AnneAnne McVeigh Morin - Biddeford - A graduate of St. Joseph's College in Standish, Anne has acted and directed numerous productions in the southern Maine area. Anne holds an MBA from USM, and lives with her husband, Robert, and sons, Aidan and Owen.

AnneGary Hauger - Lisbon - A graduate of St. Joseph's College in Standish, Gary has performed in community and college theater and with Mystery for Hire at various times over the last 15 years. Gary has also appeared in four feature films, a pair of post apocalyptic radio dramas, provided the voice of the President of the United States for an animated short, and regularly voices commercials, corporate videos, audio books and streaming news content for companies and organizations across the country. Currently, Gary is the author of the Hidden World series, and is working to get his supernatural thriller Spirit Island into production and finally have a credit as a screenwriter. ChuckChuck Waterman - Gorham - Chuck plays a variety of roles from Larry Love in Who Killed the Boss? to Cairo in Cafe Noir, the wonderful prince in Murder Most Medieval, and the madcap Hilton Paris III in Politics Can Be Murder. Chuck is father to Caleb, and triplet boys, Elijah, Gabriel, and Isaiah. 

JessJessica LeBlanc - Massachusetts - Jessica has performed in and stage managed many Mystery for Hire productions. In her spare time, she manages her husband, Bob, daughter, Eve, and son, Michael.

timTim Ryan - Lisbon - Tim first became involved in acting in August of 1996 after being dared by his coworkers to audition for a local community theater production of Dracula. He auditioned and received the role of Mr. Renfield, the fly eating paranoid schizophrenic.  He made his Mystery for Hire return "debut" as George in Politics Can Be Murder.  Tim had the amazing experience of appearing in the HBO films production of Empire Falls where he performed with Ed Harris, Paul Newman, and Aidan Quinn.   

SteveSteve Corning - South Paris - Steve has toured all over New England as a juggler, stage performer and DJ. A resident of South Paris, Maine, Steve has studied improv and performance arts at the Celebration Barn Theater and trained with some of the best performers in the area. MarieMarie Stewart - Portland -Growing up in Phippsburg, ME, Marie got her first taste of theatre as Piglet in her fifth grade production of Winnie the Pooh. From then on Marie did everything she could, finally graduating from Manhattanville College in 2009 with a double major in Theatre and Communications. She currently manages her family business, Lisa-Marie's Made in Maine in Portland, travels all over Southern Maine and New Hampshire with Mystery for Hire, works with several theatre companies in Portland. She lives with her bird - Henry, dog - Roxy, and man - Matt.

GregGreg Simpson - Minot - Our newest cast member is an actor, comic and singer.  His quick wit and debonair personality is a great addition to Mystery for Hire.  To date, he's appeared in Murder at My Family ReunionLights! Camera! Murder!, and Who Killed Jolly Roger?.
